Primary
Our Primary Classes are thoughtfully created with the appropriate age group in mind.
The curriculum is also tailored to each child’s learning needs, and we work at their pace and level. We work one-on-one with each kid to ensure that all of their requirements are fulfilled. The teachers make certain that each kid is cognitively ready to progress to the next level of learning.
Next is our Primary 2 classroom. The kid can read phonetic and sight words, write sentences, and use correct punctuation by the third year. The concept of reading comprehension questions is introduced. At this stage, the youngster will attain his or her full mathematical capability. There includes an introduction to double-digit addition, subtraction, fractions, place value, skip counting, and multiplication.
You may anticipate your kid to be fully prepared for Kindergarten in this class. This is the most important stage for your child since it prepares them for Kindergarten. Your youngster will be able to grasp 1500-2000 words and employ 4-6 word phrases at this time. Their grammar and vocabulary will be fluent, allowing them to comprehend if, because, why, and when, as well as follow complex instructions.
They will have mastered phonetic words at this point in their study, and we will then begin to introduce sight words. Introducing sight will help children develop the ability to put words together to form sentences, which will eventually lead to their being able to read. The instructor will next have the students create short sentences on their own with proper punctuation, leading to a knowledge of basic speech components (Nouns, Verbs, Adjectives).
Once the kid has completed all of these tasks, they will on to the following chapter, which will focus on reading comprehension and eventually enable them to read a narrative and answer basic questions independently.
They will also learn about other cultures and languages from around the world. Reading, writing, arithmetic, geography, stem, language (such as sign language and Spanish), practical life, and sensory skills are all taught at the Springdale Academy. We believe in preparing children for success by providing them with the necessary tools.
